Glen Runge

Glen Runge of Elgin Glen Runge, 90, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital. He was born April 15, 1921, in Highmore, S.D., the son of Robert and Kathryn Peterka Runge. Glen was owner of Runge Plumbing Co. in Elgin. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was aWorld War II Army veteran. Surviving are two sons, Chuck (Ruth) of Lombard and Thomas (Diane) of Algonquin; and four granddaughters, Nicole, Jeanette, Michelle and Christine. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores in 1977; and two sisters and one brother. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, with Rev. Olin Sletto officiating.
