SAVANNA – Michael Remrey, 65, of Savanna, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna. He was retired with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 612.

Michael was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Dixon, the son of Adelbert and Hazel (Carlson) Remrey. He was united in marriage to Beverly J. Wolfley on June 10, 1983, in Leaf River. She preceded him in death in 2006. He was a veteran of the Navy. Michael was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Polo and Savanna, the Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Clinton, Iowa.

Survivors include son, Alex (Libby) Remrey of Bienville, La.; brother, Dale (Linda) Smyth of The Woodlands, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Private burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo. Cremation rites will be accorded.
