Ronald Sittler

Sittler, Ronald E. "Red" Age 75, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on December 13, 1935 in Wheaton, IL the son of Edward and Bernadine (Kocher) Sittler. Mr. Sittler was united in marriage on March 23, 2007 to Jeanne Kise and they spent the next four plus happy years together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and great uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Mr. Sittler was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plano, IL. Red served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a plumber and pipe fitter for many years. Red also worked as a part-time farmer. He was a very talented woodworker and built everything and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Sittler of Yorkville, IL; his children, Rhonda (Robert) Green of KY, Edward Sittler of Yorkville, IL, Brenda (Tony) Carnes of Yorkville, IL, Gary (Dawn) Sittler of North Aurora, IL, and Robert (Jo Lynn) Sittler of Plainfield, IL; his step-children, Dale (Debbie) Kise of Lehigh Acres, FL, Renee (Joe) VanDeventer of Waterloo, NY, and Dana Mulholland of Waterloo, NY; his grandchildren, Sgt. Edd (Jennifer), Jordan, Mackenzie, Faith, Jaclyn, Matthew, Kara, Aaron, and Toni; his step-grandchildren, Ashlee, Ryan, Paul, and Kevin; his step-great grandchildren, Marcus, Joshua, and Nathan; his brother, Bud Sittler of WI; his sisters, Jean (Norman) Brummel of WI, Dolly (Robert) Steinhouse of Virgil, IL, Sis (Dave) Wiesbrook of Yorkville, IL, Lois (Wayne) Konicek of Plano, IL, and Kathy (Dudley) Markham of WI; his sister-in-law, Fran Sittler; his brother-in-law, John Vanderwiel; as well as many, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. His parents, Edward and Bernadine Sittler; his brother, Art Sittler; and his sister, Pat Vanderwiel, preceded him in death. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1001 N. Center Ave., Plano, IL with Rev. Andy Davy, MIC officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL. Friends may visit from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E.
