Steve G. Summer

April 6, 1926 - July 15, 2012

 Steve G. Summer, of Aurora passed away Sunday July 15, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1926 in Aurora the son of the late Steve and Etta (Nagi) Summer. Steve served his country during WWII with U.S. Navy. He was employed early on as an plumber with Local 314 and later retired from his own business “Steve Summer Plumbing and Heating” in 2010. Steve is survived by his wife Shirley Summer of Aurora; his daughters, Susanne Ismaili of Aurora and Carol (James) Gerber of Aurora; his seven grandchildren, Sadeta (Doug) Holder, Drita Ismaili, Joshua Gerber, Jennifer Gerber, Crystal (Nick) Rees, Christopher (Michelle) Gerber and Jesseca Gerber; his fifteen great grandchildren; his brother, Chuck Summer; his sister, Ethel Wennmaker; and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Summer and his sister, Mary Pohl. Visitation will be held Friday 12:00 p.m. July 20, 2012 at the Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora, until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
