The former Local 501 membership was successfully split between Chicago Plumbers Local 130 and Chicago Pipefitters Local 597 on April 1, 2013.  The former Local 501 Hall has been retained by Local 597 who will continue to use the building as a satellite office and training center.  The satellite office hours are from 8:00 am - 12:00 (noon) and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.  The Northern Illinois Benefit Funds office and the Joint Education Office remain at the building with office hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Work referrals for the Local 501 jurisdiction may be signed at the Aurora office.  Local 597 business agents Tom Andrews and Scott Roscoe may be contacted for work referrals at this location.  Local 130 business agents Charlie Seibert, Jim Mansfield and Tim Doerr will have offices at the Aurora location and can be contacted for plumbing work referrals.

Members have been instructed that they are to pay their union dues to the Chicago Locals effective April 1, 2013.  Local 597 member dues should be paid to the Local 597 Chicago office by mailing a check to Pipefitters Local 597, 45 N. Ogden Avenue, Chicago, IL 60607 or via phone (312) 829-4191 or by internet at www.pf597.org.  Dues and Out-of-Work List information was mailed to active pipefitter members in March. It is important to complete the forms included in that mailing and return to the Local 597 Chicago office or complete the form online at www.pf597.org.  

No information was mailed to retired pipefitter members, however, Local 597 Retired Members do not pay membership dues.  Questions regarding your dues should be directed to the Local 597 membership office at (312) 829-4191 (prompt 1).

Former Local 501 plumber members, now Local 130 members are to continue to pay the same dues structure as before the consolidation and mail checks made payable to Local 130, 1295 Butterfield Road, Aurora, IL 60502.  Should you have questions regard your dues, contact Debbie in the Aurora office at (630) 978-4501.
